Bail Bonds in City and County of Broomfield, Colorado

Broomfield is one of Colorado's unusual jurisdictions — it's both a city and a county combined. That means arrests in Broomfield go through the Broomfield Police Department and the Broomfield Detention Center, rather than through a separate county sheriff. We know the Broomfield process well and have been posting bonds there for many years.

About Our City and County of Broomfield Service

The City and County of Broomfield became a consolidated government in 2001. Before that, Broomfield straddled four different counties (Adams, Boulder, Jefferson, and Weld), which made the legal process confusing for residents. Consolidation simplified everything — today, all Broomfield arrests are handled by Broomfield PD and processed through the Broomfield Detention Center.

The 17th Judicial District (which also covers Adams County) handles Broomfield court cases. Because we're based in Brighton — also in the 17th — we work with the same judges, the same DA's office staff, and the same procedures when handling Broomfield bonds.

The Broomfield Detention Center is a smaller facility than the surrounding county jails, which means processing times are generally shorter. Most of our Broomfield bonds are posted and released within a few hours of the first call.
